PROJECT: Installation of 3 number 180 O/D PE sleeves under landfill site which had contamination.

I.L.C. used a 200 gallon per minute recycling system so as not to incur a high cost to our client for slurry removal.

TIME SCALE: 2 weeks.

SIZE OF RIG: 40/20 Ditch Witch. 18 ton Rig.

I.L.C. incurred very bad ground conditions for drilling, which was large gravel. The use of special additives to the mud was needed to hold the bore open, so as to pull the product in without bore coming in on the pipe.

PROJECT: 180mm Pipe pumping sewer pipe under SSI site (Site of Scientific Interest).

The SSI site was a Bird Sanctuary. Work carried out caused minimum disruption to the inhabitants.

The shot had to be drilled in a 6mm wide window between the bridge and BT’s Fibre optic route, running parallel with the bridge.
